what we’re up to…

day 1 / sat

After touching down in Marrakech, guests will be personally picked up at the airport via private shuttle and dropped off at our beautiful riad — located right in the thick of the historic medina.

Once settled in, sit down with a local artist to get some classic henna done before we head out to our welcome dinner.

After chowing down, we’ll hit the town with a trusted guide who knows all the hot dance spots 💃

day 2 / sun

We’re kicking off Day 2 by enjoying a delicious breakfast, followed by some good old fashioned exploring.

But, we’re not doing just some regular-degular walking tour… We’re exploring Marrakech on horse-drawn carriage 💁‍♀️

We’ll wrap our tour at the stunning Majorelle Gardens, and enjoy some downtime before hitting the streets again for a nighttime food tour that will leave us stuffed.

day 3 / mon

Come Monday, we’re taking a cheeky day-trip to the desert for an absolutely jam-packed day full of adventure.

We’ll spend the day riding on camels, racing through the dunes on ATVs, and swimming in our very own pool, before enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner complete with live music and amazing performances under the stars.

day 4 / tues

For the official half-point of the trip, we’ll be making moves from Marrakech to Taghazout — a charming surf village located on the Moroccan coast.

Once settled into our surf house located just steps from the beach, we’ll enjoy some downtime before taking a trip to the famous dunes nearby for some epic sand-boarding as the sun sets.

day 5 / wed

For our second day on the coast, we’ll take a trip to Paradise Valley.

Located in the High Atlas Mountains, Paradise Valley is an oasis straight out of a fairytale.

Known for it’s picturesque landscapes and freshwater pools, we’ll spend the day playing mermaids and recharging.

Later, we’ll enjoy dinner in the mountains, where there will be live music and time to meet other travelers.

day 6 / thurs

Home to the some of the best waves Morocco has to offer, Imsouane is one of Africa’s most exotic surf spots — and where we’ll be taking a beginner-friendly surf lesson on our last full day together.

That night, we’ll head back to Taghazout for a night of tasty BBQ and dancing at a weekly party that locals love.

DAY 7 / fri

Sadly, all good things must come to an end… 😭

After one last breakfast at the surf house, enjoy a ride to Agadir Al-Massira International Airport (AGA) for your flight home, or continue your adventure onto the next destination!

P.S. Destinations like Spain and Portugal are just a two-hour flight away! #EuroSummer anyone? 👀💃

frequently asked questions

how do i get to marrakech?

Attendees will fly into Marrakech via Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK). Upon arrival, attendees must go through customs before catching their private shuttle to our riad in the historic medina.

When the trip concludes, attendees will fly out of Agadir Al-Massira International Airport (AGA), and be dropped off via private shuttle from our surf house in Taghazout. If you want to book a round-trip flight, we recommend you book a flight from Marrakech at least one day after our trip wraps so you can take the bus from Agadir to Marrakech — which is about 3 and a half hours long.

Attendees should be mindful that their passport must be valid for at least six months after their trip to Morocco begins, and that they only have 90 days allowed within the country without an extended visa.

Is morocco safe?

The areas of Morocco in which we are visiting are generally considered safe for tourists. However, as with any destination, it's important to be aware of your surroundings and take certain precautions to ensure your safety, such as wearing an anti-theft bag or exploring with a buddy at night.

That being said, we will largely be staying within the city center while in Marrakech and Taghazout, and will be partnering with trusted local guides who are knowledgeable about the area.

how much does the trip cost?

The total trip cost is $1,895 USD. To begin the process of securing your spot, a $150 deposit is required via WeTravel.

are payment plans available?

Trip cost can either be paid in full or split in up to 2 monthly payments due on the first of each month via our booking platform, WeTravel.

does a deposit guarantee my spot?

All attendees will be subject to a mandatory pre-screening with Cassy via Zoom before their booking on WeTravel is considered official. If we are not able to place you on the trip, your deposit will be fully refunded.

I’m on the trip waitlist, what does that mean?

Signing up for the waitlist does not require a deposit. While being put on a waitlist may sound like a bummer at first, don’t fret! As mentioned above, no bookings are final until folks have had their mandatory pre-screening Zoom with Cassy. If a slot opens up during this process, those on the waitlist have first dibs and will be notified first.

Another reason the waitlist ain’t so bad, is that should there be enough demand — those on the waitlist will be invited to join a new, identical trip taking place a couple weeks after.

What are the accommodations like?

Throughout our week together, we will be staying in dorm-style accommodation at top-rated hostels.

During our stay in Marrakech, guests will enjoy a breakfast buffet, private bathroom, air-conditioning, access to a rooftop and pool.

While in Taghazout, we will be staying in a surf house facing the ocean, and enjoy daily breakfast, daily excursions, and hammam in-house.

what documents do i need to present before our trip?

All trip attendees must share a copy of their passport (with 6 months of validity remaining by the date of your trip), and emergency contact information.

Cancellation Policy:

If you were to cancel your booking when your spot on the trip is…

  • Pending: Your $150 deposit is refundable.

  • Confirmed (More than 90 days before trip): Your $150 deposit is non-refundable, while any additional payments made are refundable — however, there is a $100 cancelation fee.

  • Confirmed (Less than 90 days before the trip starts): Neither your deposit, nor any additional payments made are refundable.

Given the nature of making plans in our current times, we encourage those offered an official spot on the trip to consider buying refundable flight tickets and personal travel insurance. While we are almost sure that COVID-19 will not interfere with our group trips this winter, we will continue monitoring and following all CDC recommendations.

Please note that this trip’s itinerary is subject to change, to comply with COVID restrictions at time of travel. In the case the trip itinerary listed here needs to be modified due to COVID restrictions, Cassy will swap any excursions that do not comply to those of matching value that do. The group will be notified of any significant changes to the official itinerary before our trip.

If Cassy does cancel this trip, all registered attendees will receive a full refund of any trip payments made up until the point of cancellation. However, the $150 deposit is a non-refundable administrative fee. Any traveler who books one of Globethotter’s group trips will be notified about cancellations no later than 45 days before their trip starts.
